Information Collection and Use

We collect several different types of information for various purposes to provide and improve our Service to you. This includes hashed strings identifying your smart home bridge instances, few details about the devices in your home, and the state of devices in your home as they change.

Information Sharing

We share a necessary subset of this collected information to our third-party services including OpenAI to provide the service. This includes the name, type, and state of the devices in your home. We collect some customer information via our payment processor Stripe (https://stripe.com/). Our application servers are hosted on DigitalOcean (https://www.digitalocean.com/), and we use database and file hosting services provided by Amazon Web Services (https://aws.amazon.com/).

Use of Data

We will only use your data to supply the service to you, and collect high-level (aggregated) analytics to ensure the reliability of our service, as well as usage statistics so we may improve the service. We will never sell your data. We do not share any personal data including PII, email addresses, or aggregate user data to any third-party outside of the minimum required to supply the service (such as, using a third-party to store the data itself).

Data Security

We take all reasonable efforts to encrypt and limit access to PII data, in cases we can’t avoid keeping it at all. We use privacy-first website analytics tool MicroAnalytics (https://microanalytics.io/) for tracking website impressions only. Private information of our users has never been disclosed or seized, we have never received warrants or law enforcement requests for user data, nor have we been compromised or suffered a data breach.

Government Inquiries

As of the effective date of this policy, we have not received any National Security letters, gag orders, or warrants from any government organization regarding user data.
